Megan wore a red Versace dress and I matched the lip color exactly to the dress. I love that look so much, effortless and chic . On her eyes I did hardly anything, just a very thin black eyeliner and a pop of shimmer in the inner corners of her eyes.
GET THE LOOK:
I started off by applying Cle de Peau silky cream foundation in 030 with a foundation brush all over her skin. For a bit of coverage under the eyes I used a Nars radiant creamy concealer in custard. On Megan’s brows I used Anastasia dipbrow pomade in dark brown and all I did is fill in the gaps and I also created more of an arch to her brows. For this look it was really important to me not to use too much product on Megan’s eyes. All I wanted is a bit of highlight and shimmer and a very thin line of eye liner. I started off by applying Shiseido shimmering cream eye color in sunshower – sparkling copper rose shade on her upper eye lid and on the lower lash line. Then I applied a very thin layer of Tarte - lights, camera, lashes, Precision longwear liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line and I added a little flick to the outer corner of the eyes. After that I curled the lashes and I applied about 3 coats of Sisley “So Intense” mascara in black on the upper and lower lashes. Next I applied Ardell individual lashes in short and medium. To add a bit of color to the cheeks I used Lorac matte satin baked blush in velvet rope and I added a bit of highlighter by applying Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in dim light.
Finally I finished this look with a red lip by applying Stila lip liner in #25 and Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème lipstick in Icon.
Changing up lip color is the easiest way to update your look and play into seasonal trends. For the fall we saw lots of berry stained lips paired with heavy lashes and glowing skin.
I particularly love this Chantecaille Mulberry Luminous Lip Gloss, it is the perfect plum that gives you just the right amount of color. Wear this alone for that berry stained look or use it on top of a lip stick to add a bit of shine and sparkle.
Fashion week is a reminder of the change of seasons and new trends. I love the looks we saw for fall a few months back and I have curated products to recreate some of the beautiful looks. I want to start off with the eyes. We saw a few variations of soft smokey looks and winged liner.
I like to start off the eyes by prepping them with a primer. This easy to use Tarte pencil allows for a smooth application and gets into all the corners. A sheer layer of this will be enough to help prevent smudging which is so important when using darker colors.
For a winged liner I have been using again the Tarte liquid liner. It is long-wear and provides a very black crisp line.
For a softer look, use the matte black infinite shadow sticks from NYX. Smudge into both the top and bottom lashline and blend out with a brush. You can also further add dimension by using a grey shadow like the colors from Chanel's les 4 ombres camelia quad overtop.
Stay tuned for more of my favourite fall fashion trends.
A lot of you have been asking me on Youtube and Instagram which jewelry pieces I am wearing and besides my Cartier Love Bracelet I wear mostly Anita's pieces. They are timeless, but still have an edge about them, which I love!
It was a very fun shoot for Anita with the beautiful model Eilie Bennett. Danny R. did hair with Molly Flevin styling. Here are some pictures from the day of the shoot.
I love this HAND SANITIZER from THE HONEST COMPANY. The company founded by my dear friend and client Jessica Alba. One of the important things in my job is to be organized and that all of my tools and products are clean and of course to always have clean hands. The bottle has the perfect size so that you can have it everywhere you go. I keep one as well in my car, my make up kit, handbag and at home. It's all natural and I love that you can spray it on your hands.
Let me know what you think! I am especially excited about my new blog.
Please send me your thoughts and comments. I would love to hear what you think.
